Charles Darwin University (CDU) was once again a prominent exhibitor at the annual NT Careers Expo.
The Careers Expo, organised by the Northern Territory Department of Employment, Education and Training (DEET), is a once-a-year opportunity for Territory students, teachers and parents and the general public to seek information and ideas on future career options.
Deputy chief executive DEET, John Hassard, said the 2006 expo would be of great value to all exhibitors, especially CDU.
“With new career pathways, vocational education and training and higher education options on the increase all the time, students need up-to-date information to make informed choices,” he said.
Student recruitment and marketing events officer, Jennifer Ramsay, said she was pleased with the interest the CDU stalls had attracted.
“A lot of genuine interest for the CDU stand was shown in Tennant Creek and Alice by high school students, parents and other stall holders.
“The display was located in an open area and this created a productive, relaxed and social atmosphere,” she said.
With the Careers Expo already passing through Tennant Creek and Alice Springs it will now make its way to Katherine, Darwin and Nhulunbuy.
