Charles Darwin University’s Casuarina Campus will play host to a select group of award winning directors and producers, including an Academy Award winner this weekend.
Darwin residents are invited to free workshops on short films, documentary making and animation at the Casuarina campus as a part of the Darwin Festival over the weekend.
The workshops will be run by Bob Connolly (AFI-award winner for Best Documentary), Curtis Levy (AFI-award winning director), Christine Olsen (Rabbit Proof Fence) and Academy Award-winning director animator Bruce Petty.
The series of workshops will be of interest to those with a keen interest in film and those working in the film industry or trying to get into filmmaking, including CDU students with an interest in the arts, communications, filmmaking and history.
The workshops will be conducted on both 19 and 20 August in building 22, room 1 from 9.45am to 4pm.
