Nicholas Goluses, professor of guitar and director of guitar programs at Eastman School of Music, at New York’s University of Rochester, will perform at Charles Darwin University (CDU) as part of an Australian tour and the CDU concert series.
The Eastman School of Music is widely recognised as one of the world's premier conservatories and a leading centre for guitar study.
Nicholas has been a featured artist at numerous international festivals, produced a number of recordings, and has been praised for his elegant tone and his dazzling virtuosity.
Performing on Sunday 20 August at 3pm at the University Theatre, the concert will feature a program of works by Sor, Houghton, Ponce and Theodorakis. Tickets can be purchased at the door: Adults: $15, Children: $5, Concession: $10, U3A: $7.
Nicholas is also in great demand for master classes at major colleges, universities and conservatories throughout the world, and during his time in Darwin he will provide a master class at the School of Creative Arts and Humanities. The master class will be held on Monday 21 August from 10am to 12pm in the Performance Room, Building 16. Everyone is welcome to attend.
