CDU to bloom at Garden Spectacular

Following on from the successes at both the Royal Darwin Show and Katherine Show, CDU’s School of Science and Primary Industries (SSPI) staff and students will again be on display at this weekend’s NT Tropical Garden Spectacular from 12-13 August.

This year horticulture students have designed major feature gardens including a house constructed from plants and landscape materials, and a team will again enter the landscape Olympics in an attempt to retain our title, held now for two years. School staff will also be involved in demonstrations and talks over the two days.

This year sees greater involvement in the Garden Spectacular from staff and students across the University, including a fashion display incorporating the daffodil day fashion show and numerous staff and students from music who are part of several groups performing at the event.

The Garden Spectacular is a major event for the SSPI with horticulture coordinator, Scott McDonald, on the event organising committee.

Visit the CDU landscaped marketing display, and put in a vote for your favourite fashion garment which will be on display at the site after the fashion show - there is a prize for the most popular garment.
