Adult Learners Week

The Department of Employment, Education and Training invites you to become involved in Adult Learners Week, held from 1 to 8 September.

AWL is an opportunity for organisations that offer any form of adult learning activity to either present a special promotional activity or to label their existing learning activity as AWL events. If you offer any form of learning in the week of 1 – 8 September 2006 – for example, courses, classes, lecturers, exhibitions, tours, training programs, tutoring, discussion groups – you could use AWL as an opportunity to celebrate and promote what you do in the wider community.

If you have a learning opportunity to promote there are a few ways in which we can advertise it for you. Firstly, to register your event log onto http://www.adultlearnersweek.org/sign-up/howto.html

The events calendar for AWL will be advertised through local newspaper and radio. This is your opportunity to promote you adult learning activity for free and to be part of this national initiative.

For further information check out the AWL website.
