CDU hosts ICOOPMA2006

Charles Darwin University (CDU) will host the first International Conference on the Optical and Optoelectronic Properties of Materials and Applications (ICOOPMA2006) in the Mal Nairn Auditorium from 16 -20 July 2006.

The conference will provide a forum for researchers and graduate students working on optical and optoelectronic properties and Excitonic processes in a wide range of materials and material systems.

Research papers will be presented in all areas of optical and optoelectronic properties of materials, including nanotechnology, flat display panels, storage devices, and development in solar cell research.

Sponsored by CDU, ARC Nanotechnology Network, Springer Verlag and John Wiley publishers, OZ Optics and Elmer Perkins, the conference will be attended by around120 participants from 23 countries.

The conference will include Springer Plenary Lectures by Hideo Hosono, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, and Robert Glosser, University of Texas, Dallas.
