Charles Darwin University’s (CDU) People Management and Development division has unveiled the new Staff Professional Development Course Calendar for 2006.
A 12 month calendar has been released and the division is currently taking professional development course nominations.
Amy Griesbach, staff professional development consultant, feels the initiative represents a great opportunity throughout the University for professional development.
“Our aim is to make available an entire range of professional development courses to all CDU staff at all campuses,” she said.
“If you are from a remote campus, just let the department know and we will endeavor to have training delivered to you via video link.”
CDU staff member, and recent graduate of four of the development courses, Naomi Ward, feels that professional development such as this is essential to both new and existing staff.
“Having only commenced my employment at CDU a short time ago, the informative courses have provided me a sound basis to begin my career at CDU.”
