Next month Charles Darwin University will run a professional development course for Vocational Education and Training (VET) teachers to learn ways to improve their teaching skills.
VETsteps is a practical course that helps teachers identify the literacy components of their training package, examining the links between literacy and success in the workplace, and teaching strategies to make delivery more inclusive for students who struggle with literacy requirements. VETsteps resources can be applied to any area of teaching to improve learning outcomes.
The course is a two-day course to be held at the end of June. All participants receive course books and a certificate on successful completion.
