Training business leaders of the future

The Territory Insurance Office is offering Charles Darwin University Business students a scholarship designed to help them build the skills and experience to become one of the Territory’s future leaders.

The TIO Business Career Pathway Scholarship provides $15,000 to recipients over two years. It also includes an offer of employment at TIO during the course of study and culminates in the opportunity to participate in an exclusive two year business graduate program at TIO on successful completion of the degree.

TIO General Manager People and Culture Amanda-Lea Smith said TIO had partnered with CDU since 2008.

“We are very excited to offer a scholarship that shows our commitment to supporting and investing in the Territory by building confidence and resilience in the business and employment sectors,” Ms Smith said.

“We hope that through the TIO Business Career Pathway Scholarship we can develop and nurture tomorrow’s leaders by delivering a quality education program and providing local employment opportunities right here in the Territory."

Applications for the scholarship are now open through CDU and close tomorrow, Friday 8 March. Full-time second year and third year Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Business double degree students at CDU are encouraged to apply for Semester 1 2013.
