Forum to focus on Indigenous ecological knowledge

Issues and best practice surrounding Indigenous ecological knowledge will be the focus of a forum at the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory tomorrow (Thursday).

The Natural Resource Management Board, with Indigenous Ecological Knowledge Program Partners, Central Land Council and the North Australian Indigenous Land & Sea Management Alliance, will deliver a day of presentations on an exciting range of projects undertaken throughout the Northern Territory since 2008 to current.

Projects will include cross knowledge research, monitoring and management, traditional knowledge and language transfer, recording, mapping, two-way education and capacity building.

All projects have and continue to support strong natural and cultural resource management outcomes on country in the Territory.

The Indigenous Ecological Knowledge Forum will be held on Thursday, 25 March from 10am in the Theatre of the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory.
