The Worldskills National Finals were recently held in Sydney’s Darling Harbour.
Participants at this year’s event, which attracted 600 challengers, competed in activities from bricklaying to floristry, and included hairdressing students from Charles Darwin University.
Hairdressing had 19 competitors and the quality of work produced over the three days of competition was amazing. CDU students Kirsty Bulluss and Jodie Cridland from I Am Hair and Spa Lounge produced outstanding work.
Kirsty (pictured) was unlucky to come away without a medal as she was only one point behind the bronze medallist.
Jodie produced a high standard of work and finished in tenth place over all which was an outstanding effort considering the very high standard of this year’s competition.
