CDU lecturer to speak about volunteering in Sierra Leone 

 
 

International aid agency Medicins Sans Frontieres (MSF) will hold an information evening in Darwin about its humanitarian activities around the world.

CDU Bachelor of Humanitarian and Community Studies lecturer, Dan Baschiera will discuss his recent experiences as a volunteer in Sierra Leone.

Other MSF volunteers also will talk about their experiences abroad.

The presentation will provide information about recruitment procedures and employment criteria for people interested in volunteering for field work abroad with an internationally recognised aid agency.

MSF, or Doctors without Borders, is always recruiting experienced medical, logistics and administrative personnel.

Doctors, nurses, midwifes, medical scientists, psychologists, surgeons, gynaecologists, obstetricians, anaesthetists, logistics specialists as well as people with administration and financial skills are being sought by MSF.

The information evening will be held at the Auditorium, Royal Darwin Hospital, on Thursday June 19 at 7pm.
