Charles Darwin University’s (CDU) Maritime Unit is running the first of a new course for Inshore Coxswains at its Jabiru campus.
The delivery of the course at Jabiru is a result of collaboration between CDU Maritime, NT Marine Safety Board and the Department of Employment, Education and Training.
The course aims at filling a need for Coxswain training for students with limited literacy and numeracy.
First assessment of these students will be early to mid next week.
