The Menzies School of Health Research offers a three day short course: Community Development and Public Health, from 13-15 November.
Charles Darwin University’s Professor Rolf Gerritsen and MSHR’s Dr Kate Senior, and guest presenters will cover the fundamentals of community development with a particular emphasis on public health.
The course will provide an introduction to the overall practice of community development with specific reference to remote regions of Australia, and aim to connect the broad field of community development to the special circumstances of the Indigenous people who constitute the majority of the permanent population of remote Australia.
