MSHR seminar series

Various speakers will provide a special seminar reporting on the progress of the Healthy Country, Healthy People project on Tuesday 8 May, from 3pm to 4.30pm.

30-plus years of anecdotal evidence, now we have data… Aboriginal people have long maintained that Indigenous people derive significant health benefits from being on country and looking after country. Seminar presenters will report on trans-disciplinary research investigating the social, biophysical and medical impacts of Indigenous Natural and Cultural Resource Management (NCRM).

In the research Aboriginal people, through collaboration with Bawinanga Aboriginal Corporation, teamed up with researchers from a broad range of disciplines that verifies much existing anecdotal evidence on Indigenous NCRM.

The seminar takes place in the Menzies School of Health Research Seminar Room, Building 58, Royal Darwin Hospital Campus, Rocklands Drive, Casuarina.
