Charles Darwin University (CDU) Bachelor of Arts graduate, Fiona Gavino presents a free forum on Tuesday 15 August from 12pm to 1pm.
Fiona recently exhibited her work, ‘Inwardly Outbound’, at the CDU gallery during June and July. The works were made entirely from newsprint folded into strips and woven into refined sculptural forms.
Fiona has also submitted her artwork to Sculpture in the Park, a Darwin Festival event on display in Civic Park, Darwin City from 6 to 13 August. She recently organised a group show of fibre artists (including herself) to be held in Alice Springs, and has been employed to help install work for the 23rd Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Award, which held its official opening on 11 August.
Fiona recently completed her Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in fine arts at Charles Darwin University.
