CDU welcomes Fujen University, Taiwan

Charles Darwin University’s (CDU) expertise in Indigenous knowledge will be on show as the University hosts a group of students from the Fujen University, Taiwan.

The group of 30 Chinese students from the Fujen University will make their way to Darwin and CDU on 25 August for a one week visit to study Indigenous culture and Australia as a near neighbour.

The students will be on campus to further their Indigenous knowledge and will get the chance to experience the culture first hand with trips to Kakadu and Darwin surrounds.

Executive officer for the School of Australian Indigenous Knowledge Systems, Terry Pailthorpe, commented on the imminent visit: “We are extremely excited about the opportunity to host the students from Fujen University, and the opportunity to strengthen our international status.”

Any Chinese speaking persons on campus who wish to volunteer as guides should contact Terry Pailthorpe on 8946 6477.
