Senior UN consultant, Carlos Rispatron, will present a public lecture today on the current situation in East Timor.
Dr Dennis Shoesmith, Acting Head of School of Creative Arts and Humanities, will introduce Mr. Rispatron who is an adviser to the Timorese Prime Minister’s Office on economic policy.
The title of the talk is ‘Timor-Leste: Social and Economic Diagnostic Checking’ and will cover the economic situation, strategies to reduce regional conflicts, and a discussion of the current crisis.
The talk will be held today, June 8, at 1pm in lecture theatre 39.1.39.
