Historians set for annual NT gathering 

 
 
Lecturer in North Australian and Regional Studies at CDU Dr Steven Farram will be among 10 historians to present at the Annual History Colloquium in Darwin

The Northern Territory’s annual gathering of historians will be held this month with a rich program of topics planned.

A series of 30-minute presentations will include topics ranging from local history in the 21st Century, and the Defence experience in Darwin, to Australian peacemakers in Bougainville, Solomon Islands and East Timor, and Lord Kintore’s visit to the Northern Territory in 1891.

Historians from Charles Darwin University, the Australian National University, the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, and the Professional Historians Association (NT) will give the presentations, which are open to the public.

The Annual History Colloquium will be held on Saturday 10 November at the Theatrette of the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, is free and will run from 8.50am to 5pm.
