Learning at the speed of mobile related concepts and how they interface with popular learning design will be the focus of the upcoming symposium, MobilizeThis09.
Presented by leading educational organisations and industry representatives, the free public Symposium at Charles Darwin University’s Casuarina campus will showcase various emerging technologies currently used by education providers and students.
Head of School of CDU’s School of Creative Arts and Humanities, and Symposium convenor, Associate Professor Bill Wade said the Symposium was aimed at bringing together those pursuing the active use of mobile technologies and associated digital literacy in their daily lives, teaching and work-related duties.
“MobilizeThis09 builds on three successive years of investigation into the trends and factors affecting developments in the educational context for mobile based / augmented learning,” he said.
“If you have an interest in developing and understanding emergent technologies and their implications for reshaping the way in which information is accessed now and into the future, then this Symposium is for you.
MobilizeThis09 Symposium will be held on Friday, 30 October from 8am - 4pm in CDU’s Mal Nairn Auditorium or online via a myriad of spaces. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided on site at the auditorium.
