New Learnlink manager takes up appointment 

 
 

Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Teaching and Learning Professor Charles Webb takes pleasure in welcoming Dr Jenny Silburn as the new manager of Learnlink.

LearnLink is the operating unit designed to meet the University’s commitments to its strategic objectives in regard to access and pathways particularly in the area of enhancing the academic literacy skills of its students.

“As the manager of LearnLink, Jenny will apply her considerable experience and research in the area of enabling and access programs to providing a cohesive organisational unit that is committed to best practice in supporting its students learning journey through tertiary education,” Professor Webb said.

Dr Silburn has worked for more than ten years in Tertiary Enabling Programs and in her last position at Murdoch University was responsible for facilitating the transition of students into and through the university.

In 2007, she was awarded an Australian Learning and Teaching Council Competitive Grant to work collaboratively with Curtin University to provide cutting edge pedagogical materials to assist students from refugee backgrounds to succeed in their first year of university studies.

Dr Silburn is delighted to have joined the CDU community and LearnLink and hopes to make an active contribution to teaching and learning at the university especially in supporting and enabling students transition to university study.
