The Consul for Italy, Dr Francesco Capecchi, recently visited Charles Darwin University and met with Vice-Chancellor Professor Helen Garnett.
The Vice-Chancellor provided the Consul with an overview of CDU and its current involvement with Italy, including the Coututelle agreement between CDU and L’Universita Ca’ Foscari Venezia, that sees an Italian PhD student undertaking research in the NT for her topic – Role and practices of Aboriginal mental health workers and healers.
The Vice-Chancellor and Dr Capecchi also discussed ways of expanding engagement between CDU and Italy.
Professor Garnett said she would be pleased to welcome more students from Italy to CDU to undertake their studies.
