Indonesian dinner recognises role of alumni

An inaugural alumni dinner was held last month in Indonesia with 10 alumni attending.

The Manager of International Marketing and Recruiting at Charles Darwin University, Ms Fiona Richards, and the Head of the School of Environmental and Life Sciences, Professor Chris Austin, hosted the first alumni dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel in Jakarta.

CDU Alumni and the International Office plan to hold regular functions to re-establish connections with graduates and to celebrate their achievements since graduating.

Ms Richards said it was important to show alumni how much the University valued them and appreciated the role they played as international ambassadors of CDU.

“Maintaining ongoing relationships with our international alumni and promoting the interests of our graduates is important for the University to foster an environment where they can contribute to CDU’s future,” she said.

The successful dinner in Jakarta will pave the way for more events with international Alumni members.
