The Centre for Youth Music’s Darwin Youth Orchestra will perform at the opening night for this dry season of the Deckchair Cinema.
The performance, conducted by Merrilee Mills, will showcase musical highlights from film soundtracks, including Moulin Rouge, Lord of the Rings, Spiderman, and a musical medley from Hollywood westerns.
The 2008 season of the Deckchair Cinema will open on Wednesday April 16, with the premiere screening of “Into the Wild”, starring Sean Penn.
Tickets are $13/$10 single, $20/$15 double, and $45/$30 family.
