Charles Darwin University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Helen Garnett welcomed new staff during a morning tea just before Easter.

About 35 staff attended the event, many of whom had only recently joined CDU.

The event was the first of two morning teas that are held each year by the Vice-Chancellor, and organised by People, Management and Development.

The first part of the morning was dedicated to explaining the University’s vision and values to staff.

Professor Garnett outlined the goals of the University, and its role in teaching and learning, in research, and in the community.

Afterwards, coffee and cake were served in the foyer of the Mal Nairn Auditorium.
