Two exciting new honours projects are being offered in 2008.

Systematics and biogeography of the Australian crow butterflies (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae), with particular reference to the Euploea alcathoe complex and the endangered Gove crow butterfly will investigate the evolutionary relationships within the butterfly genus Euploea using gene sequencing and morphological data.

The second project, Molecular phylogeny of percoid fishes (family Nemipteridae), aims to determine the relationships of species and their generic status in the percoid fish family Nemipteridae.

Both are joint research projects under the NT Government/Charles Darwin University partnership agreement.
