Dr Jock McLaren will launch his new book, ‘Humanizing Madness: Psychiatry and the Cognitive Neurosciences’, on Wednesday 10 October at the CDU Bookshop.
‘Humanizing Madness’ is the result of a long-term project by Darwin psychiatrist, Dr Jock McLaren, in which every theory currently used in modern psychiatry is subjected to critical analysis using the standard principles of the philosophy of science.
The book is published by Future Psychiatry Press, Ann Arbor, Michigan USA, and will be launched to coincide with World Mental Health Day.
The book will be launched in the presence of His Honour, The Administrator of the Northern Territory, Mr Ted Egan AO.
