Speakers 'cornered' during NAIDOC Week

A range of renowned speakers will come to Charles Darwin University’s (CDU) Casuarina Campus to deliver engaging presentations on a number of topics as part of Speakers Corner, a NAIDOC Week event.

The national theme for this year's NAIDOC Week celebrations is 50 Years: Looking Forward, Looking Blak and Darwin is the focus city for 2007.

Issues, including Aboriginal past, present and future, 99 year leases, Community Development Employment Projects (CDEP) and Indigenous health issues, will be addressed as part of Speakers Corner.

Speakers Corner will be held at CDU’s Mal Narin Auditorium on Monday 9 July from 10.30am to 4pm.

NAIDOC celebrations are held around Australia in to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and build bridges between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.
