IDP Client Services Manager, Harry Roden and International Development Program counsellors

Last week IDP Education Australia Ltd. counsellors from their overseas offices accompanied by Harry Roden, IDP Client Services Manager, visited Charles Darwin University’s (CDU) Casuarina and Palmerston campuses as part of their Real Australia Counsellor Visit Program.

The three counsellors from Indonesia, India and Vietnam were taken on a tour of both campuses, as well as a city tour by members of the CDU International Office. Several academic staff members also gave an informal presentation to the group highlighting CDU’s unique attributes and programs. The day was capped off by a trip to Mindil Beach Markets.

The visit program is an opportunity to give counsellors a better understanding of the universities that they represent, and enable them to provide potential students with more accurate advice. Before visiting CDU, these counsellors had also visited campuses of Central Queensland University and James Cook University.

Fiona Richards, Manager International Marketing and Recruitment explains, “Our overseas education agents, like IDP, are an important part of CDU’s recruitment strategy for international students, and the opportunity to provide agents with a first hand taste of what CDU has to offer is the best way to ensure that we are top of mind when agents receive enquiries.”
