Eclosion 

 
 

The School of Creative Arts and Humanities will showcase the work of 16 graduate students in Eclosion, opening Friday 10 November and showing daily until 18 November.

Using diverse mediums and themes, students have developed a body of unique and engaging work. This year the broad range of mediums includes installation photography, printmaking and sculpture. Themes of identity, landscape and spirituality are expressed throughout the show.

The challenges and rewards of being an artist in the Top End are testified in this exhibition Eclosion – a term referring to emergence in the insect world.

The graduate show at Charles Darwin University is always an anticipated and well attended event in Darwin art’s calendar. Darwin art lovers are encouraged to visit the exhibition during its showing and support CDU’s new emerging artists.

This exhibition is part of the 2006 fine art graduate exhibition, and includes Smudge, an all encompassing exhibition focusing on the best work completed during 2006 by Certificate IV in Visual Art and Contemporary Craft students.
