Alice Springs thanks sponsors

More than 70 people attended the Alice Springs Campus sponsorship dinner at the Desert Lantern Restaurant this week.

The evening was to show appreciation to all those who have sponsored students at Charles Darwin University’s Alice Springs Campus through scholarships, prizes and donations.

Among the guests was the Alice Springs mayor Fran Kilgariff and local University Council members.

Director of Remote Co-ordination, Paul Fitzsimons, thanked guests for their support, and noted the recent achievements of the University at the DEET awards. Claire Baxter, Executive Director - Business Development, announced a new Fine Arts Scholarship for Alice Springs to be donated by alumni Edgar Dunas.

The evening was extremely well received, and for those from the tourism industry, gave employers an opportunity to see their future employees in action. Students provided both musical entertainment, as well as restaurant service for the evening.

The Campus would like to hear from anyone in the community who would like to become involved in sponsorship.
