Great outcomes for CDU at Katherine Show

Grand Champion female - Rural college Ainsleigh. Handler: Jack Blow

Senior champion bull - Rural College Coldier. Handler: Michelle Hanson

The Katherine Campus recorded another resounding success at the recent Katherine Show, held from 21-23 July.

Students from as far away as Mataranka made their way to the show grounds to present some of the best Brahman cattle in the Territory for Queensland based judge Mike Delroy.

Under the watchful eye of instructor and beef cattle lecturer, Tony Jensen, students from the Campus paraded their cattle faultlessly to take out the shows top awards of grand champion Brahman female and male and supreme champion exhibit.

Proving that Katherine Campus is not only about producing award winning cattle, horse husbandry lecturer Sam Tapp exhibited the Campus’ own stallion to win champion led registered quarter horse stallion/colt and also champion stallion/colt of the show.
