Want to kick start your career? Charles Darwin University (CDU) can help you fast track your VET enrolment for Semester 2 with special information days this month at CDU’s Casuarina, Palmerston and Alice Springs campuses.

VET courses offer a wide range of opportunities for people to acquire new skills and upgrade existing job qualifications. Courses cover a wide range of practical subjects, from accounting, aquaculture and automotive to construction, IT, horticulture, maritime studies, music and mining operation.

The VET enrolment days at Casuarina, Palmerston and Alice Springs campuses:

Thursday: 13 July from 2pm to 6pm
Friday: 14 July from 10am to 2pm

Venues: Uni Info shops at Casuarina and Alice Springs and in the breezeway at Palmerston

Most courses can be completed in six to 12 months and many students find they can continue to work full time while they study. VET courses are suitable for people of all ages and are a good introduction to structured learning for those who have been away from study for a while or mature age workers looking to explore new career paths.

VET courses also embrace many creative and artistic subjects including fashion, hair and beauty, graphic design and music. There are also opportunities for apprenticeships and traineeships in everything from automotive skills such as electrics and panel beating to plumbing, furniture making and children’s services.
