Medalists awarded at graduation ceremonies 

 
 

The University medalists were awarded at Graduation ceremonies in May at the Casuarina Campus of Charles Darwin University (CDU).

A total of five students were awarded medals at the ceremonies. These students were among a total of 2467 students graduating during the May and June ceremonies.

The medal winners included:

Elizabeth Shenton: University Medal – Higher Education [Bachelor of Information Technology]

Graeme Blake: Chancellor’s Medal – Higher Education [Bachelor of Science (Honours)]

Bronwyn Rossingh: Chancellor’s Medal – Higher Education [Bachelor of Business (Honours)]

Karl Gotts: University Medal – VET [Certificate III in General Construction (Carpentry)]

Merrawyn Rogers: Chancellor’s Medal – VET [Diploma of Library and Information Systems]

All the winners were present, except Graeme Blake who is currently in Western Australia and could not attend.

Elizabeth Shenton was awarded her medal at the 25 May ceremony, at which she also delivered the student response.

Over 670 CDU students will attend the graduation ceremonies across the Northern Territory. Two ceremonies were held in Darwin in May and a similar event will take place in Alice Springs on 16 June.

Professor Don Aitkin AO, a former Vice Chancellor at the University of Canberra, gave the occasional address to graduands at the 25 May ceremony and at the 26 May ceremony the address was given by Sue Nattrass AO, Director of Federation Square, Melbourne.
